Woollywotnots Knitting Needles Competition

ww comp

Woollywotnots is hosting a photographic competition throughout the month of May and June. All you have to do is post a picture of a use for knitting needles (which doesn’t include knitting with your knitting needles) to the woollywotnots competition flickr page. The best photograph and use for knitting needles (other than for knitting) will be the winner of some beautiful, handcrafted oversize, wooden knitting needles. Display as a piece of art and be the talk of all your friends or dare to experiment knitting with multiple strands of yarn, fabric strips, plastic bags, felt, ribbon – let your imagination run wild! The knitting needles are approximately 25mm/30mm in size and perfect for any knitting fan.  You can view the prize at the woollywotnots’ etsy shop.

Please ensure your photographs are posted to the woollywotnots competition flickr page by the 25th June 2009. The winner will be announced on the 30th June on the woollywotnots blog page.

Please display the competition button on your blog and link back to this page.

You can see some ideas for the competition, posted on the woollywotnots competition flickr page. Good Luck!

  1. Good idea for this competition. Have entered and linked to your blog. I like rounded ends on the oversized needles you are offering as the prize.

    • Your photograph is very interesting. The knitting needles are beautiful. Where did you purchase? Thanks for the link and good luck!

      • Thank you. The larger 8mm & 10mm are Surina wood needles, don’t remember which shop I got these from, but they seem to be available on lots of websites. The small 4mm ones are bamboo and were free in a knitting magazine! The yarn is Debbie Bliss SoHo but discontinued.

  2. I’ll have to keep my eye out for surina wood needles. They look lovely. Thanks for the reply.
