If you are feeling that you are lacking inspiration and creativity; then just take a look around. I am always inspired by everyday things in my life.

Here’s my top 25
1. All the colours and textures of my wool. Various craft material is always inspiring.
2. Want to be inspired and feel creative… read about creative people. Tom Peters is great. When you read, look at the bibliography and references. Two other books Tom Peters recommends (amongst a long list) are Living your Life Out loud by Salli Rasberry and Padi Selwyn and also Creating You and Co Be the Boss of Your Own Career by William Bridges
3. Notebooks. I love notebooks. Keeping notebooks and reading back on old notes is inspirational. I recently read Richard Branson’s autobiography who also talked about keeping notebooks. He has boxes and boxes of them and whenever he feels the need for a boost of inspiration turns to his old notebooks for creativity!
4. Pens Loads of colourful and different nibs. I love doodling away.
5. Stationery gets me inspired and feeling creative!
6. Listening to audio CDs keeps me inspired and creative. I listen to them all the time; always have them on in the car; or when I’m out walking. I recommend Red Audio I’ve used them for years and they provide excellent customer service. I love their monthly audio magazine.
7. Inspirational Quotes and cards. I have them everywhere and make my own. I love quotations. Some of my favourites are Louise Hay’s ‘I can do it’ cards and SARK I recommend Sarks’s Juicy Living cards too. She’s great!
8. Stickers! Love stickers. Keeping tidy and organised keeps me creative. Cath Kidston stickers and labels are perfect!
9. Listening to Mozart. Have you read about the Mozart Effect? I love listening to these CDs. There is a whole series and some great ones for children and babies too! Learn more about the Mozart Effect here.
10. Keeping a To-Do List keeps me inspired. I like using Ta-Da for electronic lists and for longer term goals using 43 Things
11. Fun characters that I have out and about in my garden and pot plants make me smile and inspire my creativity.
12. Love always keeps me inspired and creative!
13. Books are inspiring, as are people in your network; blogs; magazines etc. Keep inspired and up-to-date by using RSS and socialbookmarking. Make sure you are a member of your library. Check if you are able to utilise sconul to take books out of your local university library.
14. I find watching everything grow in my garden is inspiring. I like to capture creativity in the garden.
15. Bright colour is inspiring from baskets to the shed! I love colour indoors and outdoors! For the most colourful blog I know which is always inspiring to read, check out Attic24’s blog
16. Just appreciating life’s comforts and every day things is inspiring. I love nothing more than to spend time knitting at home.
17. Pottering around my garden always sparks creativity! I love seeing the birds come and go from their palace!
18. I love all things Cath Kidston and having lived in Stoke-on-Trent for many years, it is impossible not to be inspired by pottery. I love Emma Bridgewater. Check out the flickr fan page! I recommend a trip to Emma Bridgewater. Paint pottery and purchase some pottery from the factory shops. It is so cheap in comparison to purchasing in department stores. Go and tour them all! You will be filled with creativity and inspiration when you see all the design ideas – simply beautiful. A visit to Gladstone museum is like no other. All ages enjoy it here.
19. Growing and eating my own fruit and vegetables is inspiring. If you need some inspiration have a look in at the BBC’s Dig In. It is full of creative ideas!
20. All the talk of pottery earlier leads me onto another inspiration … a simple cup of tea and perhaps a piece of cake!
21. Spending time with family and friends provides plenty of inspiration and creativity!
22. Simplicity is inspiring…. want one for yourself?
23. ….as is great design. Look at my funky oven gloves and such a bright colour.
24. Beautiful writing I find to be inspiring. I recommend this book.
25. Spend a day with your camera and snap away. Photograph every day things like a visit to the market.Explore photo sites like Flickr. I really like Spans’ Stitchin’s post recently, where she visited a garden centre and took her camera!
