Cosy Crotchet and Knitting Swap
I’m taking part in the “Cosy Crotchet and Knitting Swap” hosted by Mel at “A country dream“.
The rules are:-
The theme is obviously crochet and knitting, you can include anything at all to do with crochet or knitting in your parcel, whether it be hooks, needles, wool, a book perhaps, patterns that you have found via the net, crocheted or knitted items found in a thrift store ect… though I would urge you try to keep it to cosy crochet and knitting , so for example, slippers, socks, teddies, hot water bottle covers, egg cosies, you get the idea, though do remember, these can be anything from a crocheted or knitted item, to a pattern too crochet or knit the cosy item, hope this makes sense.
You do not have to include both crocheted and knitted items in your parcel, it can be one or the other, or both if you wish. Some of you, like myself, may not be able to knit, but can crochet, so I will only be including crocheted items in my parcel, or some of you may only be able to knit, so your parcel will include knitted goodies, some may be able to do both, in that case if you wish you can include both in your parcel.
Do check out your swap partners blog before putting the parcel together, if you are thinking of putting in the parcel things like needles and knitting patterns, please make sure your partner is able to knit before you include these, same goes for the crochet hooks and patterns, though of course it does not matter what homemade item you include, as this will be done by you and be very gratefully received by your partner.
Everyone taking part must have a blog and have their contact details readily available.
In this swap, again at least 4 items must be included in your parcel. You do not have to spend a great deal of money on the goodies in your parcel, though please do take the time to look at your swap partners blog, and find out the things she likes, and also, if you are inclined, get to know her and make a new friend, I find swapping a great way to make new friends.
At least one item in your parcel must be homemade.
Please do let me know when you put your name down for the swap if you are willing to send over sea’s.
I would be very grateful if you would write about this swap on your blog to let more people know about it.
The date of closure for the swap will be 15th of June. I will then be pairing everyone up, and all parcels must be sent off between 1st-7th of July, so this gives everyone 2-3 weeks to get to know their partners, and get their parcels ready.
If you wish to take part in the swap, either leave a comment on Mel’s blog, with your name and blog address, or email me at rosehyacinth@hotmail.co.uk.
****The cosy swap is now complete. Stacy posted about her goodies here and I’ve posted about mine here!

Have a fab day.

Thanks Mel, You’ve been added to my bloglines too. You win the prize for the prettiest blog. It’s lovely!
Ahhh, thank you so much Katharine, you are so sweet, and thank you for mentioning the swap on Twitter, I’m now following you on Twitter. You seem like a very lovely lady indeed.
I have tried my hand at knitting, but could not really get away with it, though I am determined to master it, but at the moment all I want to do is crochet!
Looking forward to reading more of your blog.
Love Melanie xxx
We’ll have to do a swap of our skills. I’ll teach you to knit and you can get me up and running with crotchet!
Then before you know it, you’ll be knitting on my jumbo knitting needles!
