My children love the assault course….
You can walk/ride a long way up by the River from there… with good routes off into some nice pubs for lunch. Narrow boats to watch as they head up to Peterborough.
Loads of wildlife down there; long eared owl roosts. We’ve often seen snakes (grass snakes) , sunning themselves. I here that they’re about to start ‘canoeing’ courses down there too.
Hi Julia, I’ll have to head further up the river because the narrowboats and pubs sounds like a lovely option. Thanks for dropping by. I’ll keep my eye out about the canoeing courses.
I’ll have to go and look for those snakes.
I hope they start canoeing soon too!!
Thanks for dropping by and visiting my blog, Rob. Good luck with the snake spotting! Perhaps I’ll catch you at the canoe course when it starts!
Looks like you had a lovely time! I love picnics, and party rings! *tummy rumbling*
Hi Hannah,
it was yummy! Party rings are my favourite. I love the colours and it always reminds me of birthday parties when we were young. My Mum would only allow us to have treats like party rings at our parties. It was something I always looked forward to!
