Move It Monday!

Move It Monday!

Today is the launch of Woollywotnots’  Move It Monday. It is focused on getting everyone to move about more and have fun whilst you do! Get creative in finding ways to move about more.

All Move It Monday focuses on is moving more! Every day focus on moving more and every Monday report back on how you did.

Here’s some ideas:

  • Play outdoors throwing a ball around
  • Hoola Hoop
  • Dig a garden
  • Run up and down stairs 10 times
  • Walk, Walk, Walk
  • Walk 30 minutes every day, clip on your ipod shuffle and sing away!
  • Add one more everyday… Start with one push up and do one more extra each day!
  • Swimming
  • Have a race, go out and race your family/friends/neighbours down the street, in the park, to the end of the road, to the next lamppost and back etc.
  • Kick a ball around
  • Tennis
  • Badminton
  • Cricket
  • Play Twister
  • Do star jumps during television breaks. Get all the family up and about with you!
  • Skip with a skipping rope
  • Take the stairs and avoid lifts and escalators
  • Dance like crazy – hip hop, breakdance, line dance, salsa. Take your pick!
  • Create yourself a TickerFactory.com Ticker. Mine are shown below. I’m aiming to lose all my excess poundage of 20 pounds in 31 days.

I’m going to do the following for 31 days:-

1. Drink 1 gallon of water a day (4.5 litres approx)

2. Clean my teeth after every meal so that I’m less inclined to eat inbetween meals.

3. Fast one day a week

4. No unhealthy food

5. I’m not going to eat after my final meal of the day which must be at least 3 hours prior to going to bed.

6. Daily exercise

Lose 20 pounds in 31 days
