Dinner at the Red Pump

I enjoyed a lovely meal with my Father at the Red Pump, at Bashall Eaves in Lancashire. The service, food and ambience were all excellent. Definitely another recommendation if ever you are in Lancashire. The food is absolutely scrumptious and it is a really cosy, quaint pub.

Stick to good quality brands and they will last far longer and you’ll use less. These brands of gesso need only one coat. Gesso [...]

Move-It Monday: Visit Your Local Park

This Monday, get down to your local park and jump around and have some fun. Having a play around the park can be quite a workout!  Even walking around the park is a good form of exercise. I used to live in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire for many years and lived right by Hanley Park. [...]

This month, I’m reading Note to Self by Samara O’Shea; but I’m only about a quarter of the way through, so won’t discuss it just yet. I’ve also been reading a book [...]

Oundle

We enjoyed a lovely walk around the ancient market town of Oundle today and dined at the Talbot Hotel.  It reminds me of a miniature Oxford because Oundle public school contributes many buildings of outstanding historical and architectural interest to the town. It is a really pretty place and sits on the River Nene and is [...]
