Just finished watching House of Eliott DVD box set. Really enjoyed this series, following two ladies setting up a fashion house in the 1920s.

I’m so excited because I’ve found this fantastic free knitting pattern for a cardigan designed by Paul Smith that I’m really looking forward to knitting. I’m off to buy wool…! The pattern was published in Harper’s magazine earlier in the Spring.

A cardigan designed by Paul Smith. I love Paul Smith! His fashion designs are ace and I really like his fragrance called Extreme by Paul Smith.
I’m looking forward to knitting with all the colours and also seeing how it turns out; because there is no picture, only a sketch. I’ll show you how it turns out, once finished.

I watched a few episodes from House of Elliot when I was a teen, and I remember thinking it was brilliant. One day I’ll get into that DVD box set, just as soon as the price comes down a bit.
I look forward to seeing the end result with the cardigan. The good thing about only having a sketch to visually go by is that there is no right or wrong way to interpret the finished product.
Hi Kathatrine-I would love to see what you will make with this man’s stunning design. What lovely colors- you are going to force me to start knitting too.!!!I love my crochet, I have to say. I used to knit when I was a troubled and troublesome teenager- I loved it then- I am sure I will get back to it again someday…Have you ever heard of ‘knitting-conference -calls?’maybe we should have some-just kidding..HEHE

Oh, yes…I love that sweater. I hope to try a sweater one of these day but maybe will first start with a sweet little baby sweater.
Have a fun Thursday.
