Target Tuesday is for taking some time to focus on your goals. One goal I have is to explore more of my own local area, city and country. We enjoyed a lovely, long weekend in London. We’ve stayed in London so many times, but there’s always something new to see and do. With 2012 fast approaching [...]

We went for a lovely walk today in Fotheringhay. It is 4 miles away from Oundle. We climbed up to the site of Fotheringhay Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was executed over 400 years ago. You can read more about the castle history here.
Here’s views from the top of the Castle site:
Some of the homes [...]

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at a country pub in Lancashire in the Ribble Valley, at the Three Fishes in Mitton, near Whalley.
I really like the Three Fishes because the food is sourced locally and there is information about all the farmers and growers involved:
There’s also a beer menu, as well as, a wine list.

I recently blogged about spending more time outdoors and exploring more of my local area as one of my goals for Target Tuesday.
A recent tip of the day for Move-it Monday was to visit your local park. I ran 5k yesterday in my local park (Rushden Park in Northamptonshire) running around the perimeter. It was a [...]

I enjoyed a lovely meal with my Father at the Red Pump, at Bashall Eaves in Lancashire. The service, food and ambience were all excellent. Definitely another recommendation if ever you are in Lancashire.
The food is absolutely scrumptious and it is a really cosy, quaint pub.

This Monday, get down to your local park and jump around and have some fun. Having a play around the park can be quite a workout! Even walking around the park is a good form of exercise.
I used to live in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire for many years and lived right by Hanley Park. It [...]

We enjoyed a lovely walk around the ancient market town of Oundle today and dined at the Talbot Hotel.
It reminds me of a miniature Oxford because Oundle public school contributes many buildings of outstanding historical and architectural interest to the town. It is a really pretty place and sits on the River Nene and is surrounded [...]

I love strolling around Antique sales and the auctioneers are places where you can pick up such fantastic bargains. Here’s one auctioneers, we visited recently.
I loved this hat stand:
I love clocks and barometers:
I really like hunting out old needleworks:
and I like looking at musical instruments:
The old furniture is such beautiful craftmanship. You just can’t find modern day [...]
